For all you folks anticipating the Next Big Thing© in PC gaming, there's a ShakyCam video here that shows Trent Oster's entire presentation at E3. It ends with a terribly impressive fight with multiple dragons, which makes it worth the download.
Oh, and check out this screenshot.

Squidly has been busy designing our first adventure (at least conceptually). I think this is going to be a hoot.
-
Yeah, I've been thinking about trying out that toolset beta.
-
Wow! I am looking forward to this one. I should be out of my apartment by July, and into a new one with (hopefully) a better internet connection. I'm polishing my 12 sided die in anticipation.

I was checking the game out during my free time at work today. Did you see they revised the number of players a dialup server can support? Dropped from 8 to 2. I wonder how many players a cable modem will support. Having your bandwith usage jump by a factor of four can't be good.
I think the ability to portal from server to server is pretty cool. You could set up a free form MUD with that, where everyone puts their content on their server and links them all together.

Dialup servers are fine if you want to run something for a friend or two I guess. We're going to aim for something bigger.
The problem with portals is play balance. If I establish a certain economic/experience dynamic in my "world" someone else can blow it out of the water by establishing a "Monty Haul" server.

I figure that we can keep the rules pretty much the same on all AK servers.

GMs are as different as snowflakes... ;)
This is going to be interesting to say the least...

That movie is just COOL! I can't say that I've been this psyched about a game in a long time...

I bought the pre-order box from Best Buy, which comes with a poster, an exclusive dungeon crawl, and a beta of the Aurora toolset, which I have checked out. It is absolutely amazing. The sky is the limit with this toolset, especially if you have a background in programming and can write scripts that make events dynamic. I'm definately going to get my hands dirty in NWN code. If some of us put our heads together, I bet we could make some incredible modules. We just need individuals to write storylines, create areas, and write scripts, all of which I would be happy to contribute to.
