1942 requires quite a bit of rapid pace mouse moving and after a while my wrist gets sore to the point that I have to ease up for a day or so. How do the rest of you guys deal with this?

adjust the mouse sensitivity so that you can move it less for the same results.
Use a trackball.
Except for Wednesday practice, I've pretty much had to take the whole week off. I'll try the mouse thing.
mouse sensitivity is key.. heck, I'm only 20 and my wrist has started to hurt real bad like that on some games..
You play EQ.. you could take 4 hour naps and not miss any action by not moving the mouse. :DQuote:

For me the pain hits on the inside of my forearm down to my elbow. It's a deep, severe pain...it actually effects my ability to lift things with that arm. Other than rest, there's nothing to do for it.
I actually had the same problem a few years back when I was a graphic designer for Miller Beer. I went to the doctors and physical therapy. The #1 thing that they had me do was rearrange my posture while working. That was the problem cause it hasn’t hurt since..
Its how your sitting at your comp that is causing the problem!! My problem was my arm was never supported while using the mouse. So after a few years that way it totally killed my elbow and wrist. I rearranged how I sit and how I rested my arm on the table as I used the mouse. Do this and in time you will feel so much better!!
Here is a good site with helpfull info throughout

Stitch, it was nice talking with you and Kidd today, keep up on the great work with Linux.... I've got a hundred questions.... ;)
I don't have too many problems with my wrists--I use a Microsoft Strategic Commander in my left hand in lieu of a keyboard and a mouse with a gel wristpad in my right. I'm more likely to be hurting after a day of work--there it's keyboard and mouse, and usually other peoples non-ergonomically friendly keyboards. I got a bit scared a couple of months ago when I had some numbness in the tips of my thumb and index finger, so I added a wrist exercise to my exercise routine: 20 "twists" of each wrist in all four directions while holding an 8-pound dumbbell. The numbness hasn't come back, so my current hypothesis is that the exercise is helping. :)
Good stuff, FC. I agree...it is the way I sit. I actually can feel the pain in the back of my shoulder too.Quote:
