Hey Gunny, here's a few links about Airsoft. (We were talking about it last night.)
Paintball is cool too...just thought we sould weigh our options. The Airsoft guns are a lot more lifelike.

What's the difference between Airsoft and regular paintball?
Airsoft = soft bb pellet, realistic guns.
Paintball = big liquid filled ball that splats when it hits you, unrealistic guns.
Gun cost is about the same. Ammo seems simliar too. Biodegradable ammo is available.
Here's a good comparison .
I'm up for either/both. We need to find a good field/wooded area to play in (without getting shot by hunters)
Your sig picture is beautiful!!!!! OMG I can't stop laughing.... too funny
Looks like the Yoga classes are working!
Here's my thought: we all buy one of these Airsoft guns then meet at a mutually agreed upon location and shoot each other.
Sounds good to me. How about 39.59N 98.35W on February 7th?
2 points if you can guess what's there.

My friend's son has an airsoft gun. They shoot little yellow plastic BBs at high speed and fast rate. His looks like a realistic gun but only about 1ft long compared to a real M16. At close range they can sting and they are battery powered. Though little yellow BB's are all over the place too. I belive he got his at a sporting goods store called Academy. His was made of plastic but only cost $20
A friend of mine plays airsoft, and the guns they get are quite expensive and don't use batteries, but co2. The more realistic, the more powerful, the more expensive.
I am feeling sick tonight so I won't be playing any games, but I would definately be interested in following through with this. Hopefully we can get a good turn out and make this a tradition, even if only twice a year or something. Let's get some prices together for folks so they have an idea of cost.
Check out these links for comparison:
The following site has guns that start at around 15 bucks. They feature guns that tend to be toy-like, complete with orange barrel plug. The prices are good, but the guns themselves tend to look a bit hammy.

The following link is really cool. It's a company that specializes in making movie props, but has a large section on realistic airsoft guns. These are 1 to 1 scale models of the originals that start at around 400 dollars on the cheap end.

I like the redwolf site the best, the gun i want is around $1400 though. I guess I will have to go for something with a little less punch but much more reasonable in price.
I think you could get a useable gun for < 100, but would probably need to spend 250-300 to get something satisfying like an MP5.

Now this is intriguing, and looks to be more interesting than a LAN party....
