I dumped many a roll of quarters into the original. :)
This new one looks pretty cool.
I don't know bout this one. It sorta looks like that Bond Racing game for playstation that I didn't really like all that much. If it keeps the original format from the arcade, then I've gotta have it, but if it's how I think it'll be..... Bond remake.... then it's as bad as what Chevy did to the Impala.
I need Spyhunter to roundout my basement arcade...
You need to get a generic cabinet, load a Linux system, and load it with one of the arcade sims that'll play hundreds of the classic titles.
Would make a nice winter project to use all that extra spare time you have until baby comes. ;)
Nah, I prefer the auction/refurbishment route. It's old school. Besides, what could be more fun than to have your potion button stick at a crucial moment in Gauntlet??? ;)

Yes... you need the original:

Please purchase and refurbish said unit before my next visit.
I'm on it - provided YOU help me carry it down into the basement... :P
Always hated those damned cars with the little blades that come out the side of the wheels.
Man, Squid, all you need in Spyhunter and Zaxxon and you'd have all the games I spent endless hundreds of quarters playing...
Best of all - I can now play them for FREE FREE FREE!!! :)
I sunk a lot of quarters into Zaxxon and Spyhunter. I also spent more than one minimum wage paycheck on Xevious, Red Baron, Sinistar, Crystal Castles and Berserk.
Heck the more I think of it, the bigger my list gets. :dorky:
You forgot Galaga, Defender and Star Wars.
Never liked Defender all that much. Always ended up shooting innocent civilians.
Forget the name of the game: You're a little commando guy who can shoot and throw grenades at the enemy as the screen scrolls down. You can also hop into tanks and drive them around as well. It was a 2 player game, so you and another could work as a team.
Anyone remember the name?
Yeah, I remember that game! Wasn't it just called Commando?
Yeah, I liked that game... It was Commando.Quote:

Near here they have regular arcade auctions where you can gets stuff for anywhere from $25 to $2500 (depending on condition and popularity.) Great way to fill out your gameroom if you're a bit handy with a soldering iron.
