pull the plug.
unless.....we get into competition gaming, but I doubt that will happen.
It's unfortunate, but we haven't had enough on at the same time to adequately populate our server for weeks. I'm with Kidd.
I agree.. every night I go to play, I open up the admin to see who is on our server and it's always empty. I think we should save the resources until we have something worthwhile.
But I do have to ask, why is no-one playing on our server?
i play on it, just been traveling abit lately...
It used to fill up when we had people on. I would play on it if we had 4 or more people.
Most times when I hop on its empty also so I usually go to another server.
If we're not using it or trying to organize something, then yes we should probably let it go..
Since the min 4 player thing started, it's tough for folks to sit and wait for it to fill up.
Now, if someone wanted to step up and be a ring leader to organize an event, I think having it would be perfect.. Perhaps we can throw out an idea or two and see what happens. If it works out, awesome, if not oh well at least we tried.
1 idea I've have is to pick a set week night, similar to raid coordination, lock the server and have AK events. First see who can attend to build a roster. Elect 4 captains based on highest K/D. Select the teams in advance and all plan to be on at which ever common time works best for the most people. For vent, we could either stay together in one room or split off to team channels for more competitive play. Who knows, a little practice/fun like this may just get some folks into competitive squad play.
Thoughts? Should we setup a poll to gauge interest and see if it's worthwhile?
ps, idea for weekly team selection: roster signups go up a week prior, captains selected based on the roster, then they pick the teams using a common thread in the forums. Should make for good balance and smack talk.
Are we out of funding to keep it going?
I log in to see if anyone is on the guild server. I never see anyone on my friends list, so when the guild server is empty, I dont bother even playing.
If there were events on the guild server, I would show.
FightClub and I use it occasionally, pretty late though usually anytime after 11p - 2am. I haven't seen him on much in the last week or so though.
It generally fills pretty quick when folks see someone in there. Probably not enough to validate the expense though.
Wow, didn't realize people were missing out because they couldn't find us on. Hopefully they'll fix the friends list nonsense soon. Until then, Ventrilo is the best way to check and see if someone's playing--I always get on before I launch the game, and I think most of the rest of us do too.
