I don't get why you would create this, let alone download it? If you play the side of the French, you just throw up your white flag and surrender... what fun is that? :D
The Italians couldn't even figure out which side they were on! LOL ;)
Very impressive mod. The interior views on the planes seem primitive, but who leaves the cockpit display on? New weapons are nice. The new planes are very well-done, and so are the winter skins for tanks. The AAA for the Axis is intense. There are new sounds all around, which are very well done.
Gripes:
1) In the forces I played (Russian and German) there was no sniper rifle and no semi-auto or full-auto long gun. The Germans have the MP40 and the Russians have another submachine gun for close-up work. Otherwise, it's bolt-action iron-sight time. Ugh.
2) When you select Anti-tank as a German, you get a logo of an M1-Garand in your inventory. Clicking on it reveals that in fact it is a new type of Panzerfaust (The actual weapon does not look like a Garand). Seems like a pretty easy thing to fix ... not doing it looks like poor quality control.
I agree with Abs here. Its a "good" mod with some significant shortcomings, but still playable. It does have great potential which Im sure will be addressed by the time it hits version 1.
One more gripe Id like to add: the German heavy bomber found on Al Alamein has an issue with it. If your in the cockpit, you are not looking out the window, but into a wall. This, of course, tends to reduce your chances of keeping the plane in the air ;)
