Backup DC server is UP!
"August Knights Practice Server" is up and running on 128.175.22.250. Currently running all DC Conquest maps except for the "Dreaded Day 3's". It's running the server manager/remote manager, so those with administrative rights on the old server can manage this one via the BlackBagOps remote manager using the same login/password as before. It's currently running as a pub and auto-restart is on. I plan on experimenting with 24/7 pub runs this week/weekend, or until Palooka gets his server fixed. Once that happens, I'll take it back down and open only by request. :)
We'll try it out tonight for practice, but the plans have changed a hair: if turnout is small, we'll try it in pub mode. I want to give it a good stress test.

One thing at a time, Stat Boy!

Stats aren't logging right now, but will be if I'm able to run it regularly (IE if it doesn't cause my server to show up in our internal logs at work as a bandwidth pig).

Is that a picture of you Beast???

Heh...no, that's a picture of Stat Boy from ESPN's Pardon the Interruption. :D

Ahhhh, I think I need to get out more... lol

Beast Thanks for the server until Palooka's is back online I liked the 30 ping I was getting.

No problem. It's back up and running as of 10:00 EST. It's once again in pub mode; this time I intend to leave it up in this fashion through the weekend. Bandwidth usage seemed to be pretty OK given that it was up for 9 hours last night and had close to 30 people connected to it. After talking with Palooka last night, if it passes the test this weekend, it will become the permanent August Knights DC server when BF:V hits, possibly running 24/7, while Palooka will make his server the August Knights BF:V. On the other hand, I could definitely operate the DC server on a schedule similar to Palooka's (open evenings until mornings Eastern time weekdays, open straight through Friday evening through Monday morning.)

Although I would be a bit disappointed with limited hours of operation, it sure would help with my productivity at the office...
