My Girlfriend the Dancer

My long-time girlfriend (almost 7 years) and Master of Fine Arts (she just passed her oral defense, so it's in the bag), Jennie Pitts, is featured on the University of Colorado Theatre & Dance Web site in the bottom left, for those interested. A work she choreographed won a regional collegiate modern dance choreography competition, and it will be performed at the Kennedy Center in June. It's a pretty big deal. She also just found out that she won the award for best graduate teacher at the university, which is also quite significant.

I've always heard very good things about art majors - and a dancer too - you sly dog you ;)

Oh, and congrat's on the Ph.D. - those things can be hard to get.

While a Masters of Fine Arts is a terminal degree, it's not quite a PhD. I'm hoping she puts a hold on her education for awhile now; I'd like to see her more than a few times a year. :)
