I do have an extra WoW game key and account - only thing needs to be paid is to reinstate the subscription.. And if ya want, a few bucks to reimberse the $50 for the origional purchase.
Sorry, still cant see buying a game, then paying a subscription to play it. Will not do it! I pay enough for INTERNET as it is :p
I couldnt even tell you what evercrap is even about!
I have to agree with Fight Club. Even though I do still have a subscription to Ultima Online. I hope that Battlefield 2 does not turn out to be a subscription service. For a time there I had 2 subscriptions one with UO and the other for a game that no longer exists Earth & Beyond. Fun game was disapointed when EA pulled the plug on that. Oh well that is my two cents...

A link to an interesting read on why companies have to charge for their MMORPG's.
I'm right there with Fight Club, I pay enough for internet and the initial price of a game, I'm not going to pay a monthly rent fee...Quote:

But for many of the guys here, that have sworn to never do that sort of thing. Once the gave this game a chance, they have all been hooked. And to put things in a cost effective model. The game is $50 with 1mth free. Then it's $14.95 a month to play. Developing a semi-addictive playing style to the game. In the long run you actually save money.
Let's take Rocks for instance. He used to buy every game that came out each week. So on average he would spend 300$ a month in games.
Now after buying WoW and playing it for the past 4 months. Rocks has bought only 2 other games. So he has saved a average of $1050!!!!! Think of all the money you could be saving DD and Fight... Comon, Join in on the fun.
ALSO! Battlefiled2 IS NEVER COMING OUT!!!!!
:)
I used to be the same way, but the gameplay is great and the biggest reason I am playing WoW is that we are playing as a group.
I just want to confirm something Fight you refuse to pay a monthly subscription fee to play woW but you have no problem paying for a game that you don't even have yet? BF2 ;) and probably won't for some time to come. :)
Yeah, I've actually saved a ton of money playing and paying for WoW. I've purchased nothing else for the PC since it came out last year. Before I was averaging at least 2 games a month. I figure I've saved at least $60 a month.
$14.95 a month is a bargain when I consider the amount of time I've played WoW, even in comparison to HL2 which I Loved.
The only downside to WoW and playing as a group is you don't get to shoot/kill Stitch... and it takes awhile to get over the withdrawal symptoms. After that stage, it took awhile as a Paladin to fight the urge not to heal him and just let him 'vanish'... but I eventually got over that urge as well. ;)
