It was just so nice I did not want to go inside and the book is realy quite good, I bought the next four books in the series on Saturday (a friend lent me the first one).
I got to spend the whole day sunday at the park, the tide was WAY out so I picked through tide pools and flipped rocks much to the enjoyment of several children that were at the park. One kid thought he would be cool and ate a live crab, ah... youth (he threw it up a little later). None of the kids had anything to do with me since I was there alone but they were cute and liked poking things like I did and their parents were friendly. Was a good day.
All in all was a completely enjoyable weekend alone (the way I prefer to spend my birthday). Since I quit drinking there isn't much I want to go "out" and do with friends any more, I'd rather spend the whole weekend with a good book which is what I did.
And I highly recomend at least the first book in Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time series (titled The Eye of the World) if you are into fantasy. I'm not so much into fantasy any more, prefering Sci-Fi, but this series has drawn me in after reading just the first book I want to read the rest.
Happybirthday!!!

Robert Jordan's good, if you haven't, try these:
"Sword of Truth" by Terry Goodkind
and my new favorite,
"A Game of Thrones" by George R.R. Martin
both books begin a great story. enjoy
