I found THIS to a news website. They are editing down all the live news to short blurbs and posting them on one page... in blog format. Great for keeping an eye on the news in New Orleans without having to access a tough of different sites. Just refresh every few minutes.

Also, FARKers are monitoring their police scanners and posting what they here both in IRC and in FARK. OF course it's against the law for the news to report police scanner activity so you'll get a lot of raw data that won't make MSNBC. (Interesting thing is how they are keeping tabs on a couple of cops that delivered a baby. The FARKers have adopted Bulldog6 and Bulldog3 (police call signs)
