My girlfriend gave me a fantastically low-tech, and ornate cherry wood pipe rack, complete with air tight jars to store tobacco. She also had the resolve to stay in the tobacco shop long enough to purchase a very nice Itallian Savinelli briar pipe with a balsa wood filter, and a meticulously carved English Meershaum pipe. This brings my pipe collection up to 48. All in all, it was a good Christmas for mouth and throat cancer!

I've got a Savinelli Briar pipe myself, although my tastes run more to cigars these days.
I also purchased Minority Report today with an Xmas gift certificate. Need to update my DVD list soon. :)

Hey Squid I download a program called DVD Profiler and it has been fantastic, I will be ready to post my 300+ DVD collection up to the web for everyone to browse and maybe even drool over. The program is free and it allows database updates by scanning the dvd in your drive! I've scanned through your collection and it's funny that we both have about 80% of the same titles. You have good taste my man!

I got that ultimate saver of Domestic Tranquility Points; a dishwasher. It was actually a combo Xmas/birthday gift. I got some other neat stuff; no real "toys" to speak of (though an electric carving knife and a golf spike wrench rank near to "toys".
Hopefully, my best "gift" will be yet to come--a Giants win over the Eagles for a playoff spot! :) (Oh no, I turned a Christmas thread into Yet Another Debate... :) )
