Move your computer to a different room, or buy your wife ear plugs.
Glad to help.
I have a better idea... send me a check to pay for a new addition to the house and I'll call it the "Squidly Hall". :D
We are in the final stages of buying our new house and will be moving the last week of August (It appears). Although the room I've adopted as my Computer Room / Office is just down the hall from the Master Bedroom - so the problem will still exist there as well. ;)
Close the door...problem solved.
ROFL - Doesn't work. :D
But I would lose precious space in the room due to the furring and then of course, I'd have to pay for the supplies.
Where can I subscribe to that magazine???
And you call yourself a gamer... Sheesh.Quote:

heh, I call myslef a gamer, but I don't think I would go to that same extent that you would Squid..
LOL
You should have seen the looks I'd get from my wife and friends when they would come in and see my 2nd PC setup in a sim racing "chassis" that I had received for a review. Full real racing seat, etc. (Ah.. the days when I use to receive hardware and software for free simply for writing reviews <G>). Between my TSW2 Modified sim racing wheel, to the chassis, to my Saitek HOTAS setup... most people consider me a serious gamer.
But Squidly is just doing his interpretation of a "m3@n, m3@n H0lmgr1nch". <G> - I used it anyways Squidly! =P
Your friends look quizzically at your setup? Sounds like you need more gamer friends.Quote:

You know, the kind that want to jump right into that rig rather than give you a look that tells you they think you're a loop job. ;)
Anyway, I'm just thinking that I'd find a way to get permission to speak aloud at "conversational levels" after 9pm in my own house.
Perhaps this is the answer. Deploy this:
Cone of Silence

That would be cool, along with a Poetic Aurora.

LOL - And it's more like 10:30PM EST, not 9PM :D

I actually don't have many "local" friends that are gamers. A few who dabble with Ghost Recon or Links, but no one I would call a "gamer". Although there are several sim racers located in the Lehigh Valley. ;)
