Fair enough, but I think Fortress America is a bit short sighted. We have vital interests all over the globe and under foreign jurisdictions. I think this quote is spot on:Quote:

Hylander, I like Fortress America, except it needs teeth. Big teeth. Big, don't F with me teeth.
"Some critics argue that we should only work under the auspices of the United Nations. However, most countries in the UN have a stake in the existing order, in which thug regimes are treated as legitimate and it is easier to try to accommodate rogue states than confront them. If Churchill thought that his own parliamentary leadership in 1936 was "resolved to be irresolute," imagine how he would have felt attempting to exhort action today at the UN."

It's not my media. Never said it was.
Sorry, perhaps I should have said "our" mainstream media. I didn't mean to invoke it on you. OUR mainstream media, for the most part, blows of Liberalism, political correctness and sensationalism.

There are good things happening too, I'm not saying there isn't. But wouldn't you see Iraqis standing up to the radicals? Why aren't there any?
That is a misconception, there are. The Iraqi police force is standing up to them, and they are Iraqi's, no? Civilians did march and protest against the bombing of innocent civilians, but the media spun it to be they were protesting America's inability to protect them and "occupation"
We aren't choosing it for them in the broad sense. We are choosing to give them a choice. There is a draft constitution as a foundation. Once a government is in place, they are free to elect and vote changes, amendments, etc as needed. The only absolutes in that doctrine is democracy and freedom from religious oppression.Quote:
Nope, I'm saying do they want us to choose it for them? If roles were reversed, would you want France telling you how to live?
I can't answer that question about France for you because it is just too far fetched and fictional to grasp. ;)
France would never be on the winning side of a conflict and in position to dictate anything. Besides, they would never get the UN approval because we would veto it, and you know France is castrated without the UN, right? I mean.. it's not like they have COLONIES where they have armed conflicts WITHOUT UN SECURITY COUNCIL PERMISSION do they??? ;)
