Choozoo needs a xbox360 so bad! That will fix his grumpy online mood!
Been a while since I've posted here, but I still lurk every once in a while, figured this might be a good place to surface. I don't know most of the people here, but there are probably a few that do remember me.
My name is Jacob and I am 22 years old. I have been attending Louisiana Tech University for the past 4 years and I am going to graduate this year with a degree in Computer Science. I am originally from Lake Charles, LA. I can't even remember when it was that I joined AK, but it was sometime near the release of Tribes 2, but I was playing with them long before then in the first Tribes. Unfortunately, they moved on to games that I didn't really care for like Battlefield and WoW, so I haven't really been around much anymore. Currently I am playing Vanguard on the FFA PvP server and am enjoying it immensely.
I hop on here every once in a while to catch up on what everybody is up to. Hopefully sometime in the future a game will come out and I'll be able to play with you guys again. Until then, seeya around. :)
WOW!!!! Jackle popped by!!!
It's great to hear from you Jackle, also glad to hear you are about graduate!!!
Congrats!!! :)
Hello Everyone!!
Just thought I would follow suit and say hello, and share a little about myself too.
My name is Ron,I am 41. My wife Kathleen and I live in a small town in northern Illinois. Ive been playing WoW for about 10 months.
I only have one character (Mydrial) currently over level 21, and tend to play the game way to many hours a week (I have a very understanding wife). WoW seems to be my current all consuming obsession. My hobbies are varied from gaming on X-Box and PC to woodworking and my motorcycle. Sometimes i think my wife is jealous of the attention my bike gets, but she loves it too.
I am currently working for a large cableTV/communications company in the position of Technical Supervisor of Field Operations. Its a glorified title for the guy who makes sure the other guys make sure your TV has pictures, your phone has dial tone, and computer connects to the internet.
Ive known some of the AK members for a while now as I came over from Legio. Its been a good move that I am glad I made. I look forward to meeting more people.
Okay, I'm in.
I'm Curtis and am 39 and live in the heart of downtown Seattle. I'm the president, chief cook and dish-washer for the wireless ATM network for the Washington State Ferries, a true one-man band. It's like a never-ending carnival game of Whack-A-Mole... except that I have to deal with Homeland Security and bomb dogs everyday to do what used to be a simple job.
As a fanatical Seahawk fan, Squidly and Hylander suckered me into this whole AK thing back in the heyday of BF1942. I had the time of my online life doing battle (and winning) with my band of brothers.
Along the way there have been the occasional philosophical disagreements, but everyone grows and continues to get along as time passes.
Haven't been willing to even give WoW a try... I've got too many bad habits already and am patiently waiting for the next online game that will turn my crank. I fear that WoW might be like that proverbial first hit of crack...
Sooner or later I'll be hanging out more often with you all again. Hopefully sooner.
Just noticed this thread while forum cruising, thought I should introduce myself as well.
In game I'm padraic/padraig/several variations on the name (no special story behind the name, I was looking for a gaelic name for a toon back in my shadowbane days, and it seemed like a good one). Before warcraft, I was heavily into D2 and Shadowbane, as well as feeding my Halo addiction on the side. I started out in a guild with some RL friends who later stopped playing, which eventually merged with TOoL, I found my way to Vae Victus after the tool collapse, where I started raiding with AK, I was guildless for a while after VV broke down, then joined up with you folks shortly after the xpac came out.
In real life, my name's Dan, and I'm a 23 year old biotech researcher living in Boston (though originally I'm from the other end of the state). As with most others in this city, I'm a huge patriots/red sox fan (and will rarely be in game/paying full attention when my teams are playing). Aside from gaming, Rugby's my main passtime. I picked it up freshman year at college, fell in love with the game, and I've been hooked ever since.
That's right--you're in Yankees territory now! :uzi:
Funny thing is, while I've always been a huge Pats fan, I didn't really get into the Sox seriously until I had to live with a roomate from NYC for two years taunting me whenever the yanks beat the sox just because I'm from MA and was a casual supporter ... so all I gotta say is Bring It!!
I miss Shadowbane :(
HA look who steps out of the haze on stage, it is I Bassiswild. Hey guys what is going on?????
I have been out of touch for almost what two years now. Lets see a little about me I am 32 I think... My name is not Bassiswild it is actually Duane, I might have it changed to Bassiswild lol. I hooked with the [AK] guys back in the days of BF Vietnam. Still love that game. I have a Bachelors degree in Entertainment Business. I own and operate a concert touring production company called Broken Sound Entertainment http://brokensoundentertainment.com or you can check me out on the myspace at http://myspace.com/brokensoundentertainment. It seems like my life lately has been work. I currently reside in Tampa Bay, FL. At least that is where I send my money to lol. I am out on the road 95% of the year. Actually looking at moving operations to my home away from home LA.
Maybe when things slow down again I may be able to sit down and get on BF2 DC or hopefully it is up and working the Earth and Beyond revival.
Not married and not planning on it anytime soon. I think I am married to my company. Gives me the same headaches sometimes . Anyways guys and now ladies keep your gun sights close and don't let charlie get the jump on you.
