When Bush won for the first time I was physically ill, I mean totally throwing up. I figured this is where you guys can air that visceral reaction in a fairly safe place. I understand the reaction even if I have it for different politicians.
I have more faith in the moderate Democrats and Republicans that make up a swing section and I believe will ultimately drive policy than you guys do. So I guess I don't feel a need to defend every action.
I have tried to voice my opinion on matters that I felt were important, as evidenced by the long thread on electronic medical records. I stay out of threads that I don't care about.
So I read the thread and if it is something I am passionate about I post. If it is something that is silly to me, like will the gift that someone received really affect the policy of that country I stay out of it.
I post in threads that I dont care about often.....
Just saying :bounce:
Now our Dear Leader is disarming airline pilots. http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/...rogram-that-l/
Does Barry want another 9/11? Anything to get our minds off the economy and the imminent socialization of just about everything, I guess. Released and soon-to-be-released Guantanamo inmates must be thrilled about this news.
I swear, one could already write a substantial volume detailing the gaffes, flubs, and inexplicably stupid mistakes of The One's presidency--and He has hardly begun.
Obama's Campaign received $23,000 from AIG after the company received federal TARP funds. Before TARP, Obama got $130,000 from AIG. And yet he's upset at bonuses given to employees under contractual obligation. I wonder if the Messiah is going to give back the money? Probably not.
(Note, McCain and Dodd also got money)
AIG, which has received $170 billion in taxpayer cash from the federal government since September, gave more than $585,000 to Congressional and presidential candidates last year, favoring Democrats 3-to-1 over Republicans.
Dodd was one of the largest receivers of AIG cash.
Some of the Guantanamo Bay prisoners could be released into the United States while others could be put on trial in the American court system, Attorney General Eric Holder said on Wednesday.
Ya... maybe just a perception issue amongst some pilots.

I've heard that a number of federal agencies are in a 'holding pattern' as they have yet to receive direction from the White House on which Bush policies are still in play. I recall Mark Levin (maybe) mentioning that ICE was placing some activities on hold until Obama set direction.
But I suppose that's not unusual during a presidential transition period.
That's good to hear. Stopping that program would have been the most insane thing he's done yet, perhaps.
Administration has canceled plans to have injured servicemen pay for own insurance.
