You only see the little "friend/foe" flag when you're inside their sensor net.
With T1 and 2, you had deployable sensors, which added a significant element of strategy.
Unfortunately they decided to remove it in T:V
That would be better IMO, maybe it's only that way for the beta. As stated previously I am not giving up on it yet, just not a first impression that makes me want to run out and buy it.Quote:

Also there are more elements to strategy and gameplay than the element of surprise.
If you don't like it or are undecided that's fine. I'm not sure that I like it either. I'm just sayin' is all.
A bit early to scrutinize me thinks. Final version may be beefier of course while mods may take the game back to a not so noob friendly status. Just have to see where it goes. Ill being buying retail and at worse have to wait for a mod that puts strategy back in the game like earlier verions.
Solid game engine, excellent physics and plenty of eye candy make it a great foundation for possibilities IMO.
