That Blix car would make a cool looking Nascar custom paint job ;)
Blixbo:
I'm enjoying your attempts to lighten the tone of this thread, but maybe you should look for Frau Blix?:D
Blixbo Rocks, he should be a news anchor on Fox. ;)
I can't take it anymore! I didn't wanna to do it but I just can't stop myself! I have to correct the ignorant masses!
Long before there was cartoon network where childhood transcended into phsyical adulthood and brain cells escaped through every bodily orfice, there were the alphabet channels. That was long before big dishes on the ground, little dishes on the roof, and cable running to every room with special attention to the bathroom which was once called the reading room. But reading has not been required for some time, especially in our failed third world indoctrination system that we mistakenly call an education system. Of course Mr. Bush is going to pour more billions into it not knowing that that's not going to change anything. When little Betsy Wetsy mistakenly takes a nail clipper to school in her little Tarzana lunch box and gets banned for life from the indoctrination system, we should be thinking, "Who are these people?!", but I digress.
So you ask, "What are the alphabet channels?". I'm glad you asked! Long before there was 24 hour per day cartoon network, there were Saturday morning cartoons. I know some of you don't go back that far but bear with me. You probably don't remember bing bong bang. NBC? ABC? CBS? You starting to catch up now? You know about those people that anchor the news? Those people that are like old fishermen? They never die and that's why they stink so bad!
In my next episode I will explain to you fully why brain chemistry, aging, and gravity causes Hollywood stars to turn into feminazis.
Oh! And one last thing! In my opinion, Bilbo should start a hollywood fan club and spell his name correctly with D's. Somehow he's missed his calling.
Until then, ta ta.
I think Bribo IS Hans Blix's love child!!!! :D
Yes, that is both good news and bad. Good news is that the evidence is forthcomming and it may gain us allies in stead of going in alone which would hurt our "world" position. Most people opposed to the war were just wanting proof that it is justified and the Presidents words are not enough for some people.
Bad news is we will go to war. I am opposed to war on a philosophical level and think War is Wrong. But sometimes there is no alternative, like shooting a rabid dog... you know killing Old Yeller is wrong but you still have to do it for the good of others and himself (of course Saddam is a lot less cuddly than Yeller). I will not like hearing about casualties on either side but if it is justified and needed then lets do it!
I will not cheer about it. I will not smile and be happy when bombs are dropping and people are killed (especialy the innocents that always end up in harms way). I will not LIKE it at all and that may not be popular. But I will not spit on troops when they come home. I will not call them baby killers and I will not consider them "bad". I will thank them for the service they perform for us. I will have a tear in my eye of joy when they come back to us. I will shake their hands when given the oportunity and pat them on the back for doing exactly what was needed. I will cheer their victory and the defeat of the Hussein reign and the liberation of the people of Iraq.
I might chase after some of their women while they are gone. An overweight, balding, late thirties computer geek is exactly what a serviceman's woman is going to like... right?
Just today I wrote a letter to a friend of mine who had built his carrer in the Navy who is shipping out for war duty for the 3'rd time in what seems a handful of years. In that letter I let him know with no uncertain terms that his service is appreciated. And that I hope he's not driving the boat (I have seen him drive). That is how I feel. War is bad and fundamentaly wrong in my view but sometimes you do what you have to, and the philosophical wrong may be the real right way to do something when you have no alternative. But whether I agree with the government on its reasons for war or not the soldiers are doing their job and deserve every bit of respect I can give.
Widow,
You said that very well. War is nothing to cheer about ... and it's a shame we can't just cut to the heart of the problem and kill only the bad folks. Saddam has had a LOT of time to make new hiding places, so I would not bet on catching or killing him during the coming war. He reportedly has several lookalikes as well.
Here's a fun glossary to use when reading newspaper reports. LOL.
Time to finish what we started 12 years ago....
I knew it would happen sooner or later.....
We should've just killed Saddam in the bajillion chances we had.. its even been documented that we have had the chance to kill him many times but the persons doing the tasks were called off due to our fear of taking out another nations leader.
I will do it :P
Hell I will do it for free :)
Yeah, funny. A Volvo race car driver. You're off my Christmas card list. ;)Quote:
