Patch 1.22 Available Today!

We're still hard at work on version 1.3, which will see the addition of some additional, sought-after changes. When we have more information to share with you on 1.3 we will, in the meantime, please find below the list of fixes in 1.22:

- Improved Server Stability
- Adjusted handling of the Tiger attack chopper
- Increased delay for aiming reticule when going from movement to prone on all support weapons
- Adjusted deviation on MG36 and PKM to be in line with other support weapons
- Increased rpm from 600 to 900 on the P90
- Fixed Lock on error on certain Oil towers
- Fixed a Great Wall Exploit
- Fixed exploits on Dragon Valley and Karkand

I've posted the incremental (1.21 to 1.22) patch up on the AK ftp server (uploads/bf2 uploads from nuts).

The whole rank/unlocking thing is a real turn off for this soldier.

When I played, I liked the ranking up and medals. It gave the game an added incentive to play.

But I'm a stat-hound.

Hmmm... from a WoW guy, that's sorta funny in a non-hostile, partial-family, non-pot stirring, quasi-factual kinda way.

Well, in WoW my characters are just about the lowest rank you can be. I don't PvP all that much. I enjoy co-op dungeon crawling more than anything.

lol I tried wow and all I kept doing was killing kittycats. Had to build up ranks! Kinda same with battlefield, except your not as handycapped as in WOW.

DD, I use our new Ventrilo server. Specifics posted by CamelWalk in the forums. There is a BattleField Channel, which is a good place to start!

Even if no one is in there, just hang out in there so that others can check in. Oh, and my in-game name is [AK]LazyEngineer. It's an old handle. I lost the password to my [AK]Clay account :proud:

Oh, and I switched my Ventrilo handle back to [AK]Clay, it must be confusing as all getout to you Battlefield guys for us to be using WoW handles in Vent.

I will start hanging out in the BF part of vent. I loaded BF2 last night on my new system, just have to setup an account...

By the way where do I get one those banners I see all of you guys using for your BF stats, being an old Jarhead, I love rank and ribbons... :proud:

Nuts, you get on pretty late for me on EST time, but I will stay up just to spend time with you... ;)

Say Nuts, maybe you or Fight*Club can help me with this. I have updated BF2 to 1.22. I then purchased Spec Forces and installed this as well. Now nothing works - I can't connect to anything because it keeps saying

"This server only allows players with unmodified content to join. Revert your version of Battlefield 2 to the current official version to join".

Any tips?

I had to uninstall Battlefield 2, then reinstall Battlefield 2, then install SF, and then install all the patches up to date...
A real pain I know, but that's what I had to do...

I agree with devil. For some reason EA patching system has created alot of problems. I had a hell of a time last patch.

I had to do a full install of bf2, then patch bf2, then install Secial Forces, then istall all the patches AGAIN. It was the only way I could get it to work. It sounds exactly like the problem your having.
