I am still waiting to get an address and find out the funeral arrangements, but I know a lot of people have expressed interest in sending something as a group. If nobody objects, I will be happy to handle ordering flowers to send to the funeral home. If you would like to contribute, my paypal is linds.farrell@gmail.com.
I found out this evening that Evan's family has requested a donation to the school band that he worked with in lieu of flowers. For those that didn't know, Evan spent a lot of time volunteering with the local high school band and mentoring the students. He loved music and was very proud of the work he did with the band. His friend is going to send me the school info and I will pass it along as soon as I get it. For those that have sent me money, I will use it towards a single donation on behalf of AK unless anyone objects.
Evan will be cremated in a small ceremony on Saturday evening.

As a former band geek, I know how cash-starved high school bands usually are, so I think this is a great idea. Thanks for the update, Swae.

There's a link to this thread in that thread, but I'll mention it again over there. This is a public forum as well (as far as I know) so the WoW-only folks should be able to see this one as well.
Rhiannis has been trying to work the AK-WOW side, so if her and Swae can work together to make this one unified project I think the impact to the family would be awesome. Swae, please tell me if you think that will work out.

I will continue to accept donations through the weekend, and plan on sending off a card with the money early next week.

Thanks guys, I'm happy to do it. Evan was a great guy that I felt pretty close to, and I want to honor his memory as best we can.
I'm buying the card tonight and will work on what to say on the inside. It's not going to be an easy message to write, so if you have anything you'd like said, please let me know. I'll post a picture of what I mail off tomorrow.
