Rage coming out Oct. 4 ... who's buying it?

Anyone else excited about Rage on Oct. 4? I'm looking forward to some vehicular combat ... shades of Interstate 76. :)

Preloading now on Steam ... this is a 21 gigabyte preload -- really massive game. I heard it will be three discs on Xbox.

Yeah it's a three disc DVD-9 format for the XBOX. For the Playstation 3 version it's a single Blu-Ray 50gb disc with a 8gb data install for caching. The PS3 version has a hi-res texture pack which will make it on par with the PC version (Minus shading in some areas). So that finally gives a Multi-platform game on the PS3 a leg up on the XBOX.

I was going to pre-order, but I'm glad I didn't. After reading the reviews, my attitude has shifted to "meh."

It's a good game. It needed a couple of tweaks to make the graphics better (forced V-sync on, which greatly reduced tearing). I've played a little over 2 hours now.

It sounds decent, but I'll probably wait for it to go on sale. Meantime, I think I may snag Dark Souls.

A Kiddie Console forum topic would be very nice if Squidly or Palooka or whomever else has the power to create a new section to this renowned website. On a separate note directly related to RAGE. It plays super nice off my SSD drive. I would recommend moving your install over to a SSD if you have the space (23gb) to store it. The patch helped a good number of issues as well. It has native in-game v-sync option now.
