I still can't believe that Jericho was actually beat in the ratings by American Evil I mean Idol, oops my bad, sorry it was a slip of the keyboard . I work in the entertainment industry and that whole thing is nothing more than a big joke. For some reason these people people think that they can be as popular as Kelley.
What Jericho did when it came back from being off air they did a show that filled in a lot of the plot holes and explained quite a bit about what led up to the bombs going off. I do not think that you had to really go on-line to fill in the plot holes. In the begining there were a lot of plot holes and it was aggravating. I was glad when it came back and was able to put the pieces of the puzzle together.
CBS plans to re-air the 1st season over again in its entirety. They want to gain new fans that they lost when they pulled it early on. Nice that they are actually turning to writers again. I am really getting tired of Reality shows. The only one that I watch is Hells Kitchen. I love seeing Gordon Ramsey yelling at all the people. Reminds me of work :cheese:.
I pretty much hate 90% of the programs the networks put out there, and I don't like much "reality" TV - although I do watch Gene Simmons Family Jewels and get a laugh out of it. Perhaps it's because I never really watched the Osbournes....
Anyways, my wife and I actually caught the first of this seasons Hell's Kitchen by accident and it was pretty damn funny. I think he's going to fire the whole lot of them next week. Damn man... I can fry an egg, give me a shot!!!
On a different subect. Hells Kitchen this years group seems to be to busy trying to be tv stars rather than chefs. I wonder who picks out the contestants? I doubt it was Gordon Ramsey. He is about ready to shoot the whole lot of them. That would be funny for him to walk in and say you are all pathetic losers and you are all fired. That is what they should do, just imagine the drama that would create. Our road chef laughs himself silly watching it.
At least there is something to watch when Jericho is off the air. I had to throw in something for my show Jericho. I missed my calling as a shameless promoter lol.
Ramsey is actually a highly respected Chef, despite the theatrics.
I've read that if your resume shows you've lasted a couple years in
Ramsey's kitchen, nothing more need be said. You're a pro. No pressure will phase you and you know how to get things done.
I liked it and i'm glad it's coming back. just an opinion though. I am surprised that CBS did actually listen to the fans of the show. that was what I found most surprising about the whole situation.
hey, we don't need to argue good and bad tv, as individuals, we can choose from over 1000 channels of entertainment to fit anyone's needs for enjoyment. be happy with the choices and think back to 25 years ago when you only had around 3 choices to make:)
Interesting article. At least it acknowledges that the first 5 episodes blew 6 kinds of chunks.
That article makes some good points about shows in general. Is A.C. Neilsen & Co. still relevant in this century, with DVRs, iTunes, streaming video, and full-season DVDs? (Hint: no.)
I agree with the article whole heartedly. I think that CBS really needs to write about what the show is really about. I think that CBS may actually want it cancelled. What I think is that they are just bringing it back to please the advocates of the show and to stop the flow of peanuts. I have seen no promotion on CBS about it. Just an occasional press release here and there. I hope that they are able to pull in more viewers for the show. The CSI's are getting pretty far fetched. Anyways that is my two cents.
On a side note does Nielsen track viewers that DVR the show and watch it later. That is probably a large majority of people that do that.
The only pluggage for fall series I've seen thus far is some new show on Fox. (Granted, I hit my Tivo's fast-forward button through most commercials and mostly I'm watching baseball and cable shows this time of year.) And I do believe I remember reading that Jericho is going to be a short-season spring replacement. I wouldn't read too much into anything just yet.
I got a "Tivo-mail" that supposedly allowed me to opt into the rating system, but I don't know how exactly that works. The Tivo is always running, and always tuned to something, whether it's recording or not--how does it know when I'm watching something and when I'm just tuned to it with my set off?
I wonder what CBS is going to with all of those nuts. Send them to loyal Jericho fans?:bye:
they donated them to charity, including soldier's gift packs.
