My son started playing this. It's now a free download and no-monthly fee. You can use real world money to buy things in game but that is really not necessary. Looks like a WoW clone pretty much with a bit sharper graphics. Wondering if anyone has checked it out.
I may download it and give it a whirl.
It has the right balance of WoW and DDO in terms of game play elements. It also stands out on it's own. The overall game is fun and if you really enjoy the whole lore behind the Lords series then you will enjoy it that much more.
Interesting. Though, if it is free to play, what is the revenue source for maintenance?
Micro-transactions. Wave of the future my friend.
Be cautious of the program it uses to update software, Paralax iirc. It's very adept at hogging tons of bandwidth and bringing home networks to their knees.
