Oshkosh, Wisconsin
Just thought I'd give you guys a heads up on that I'm going to be gone for a week on vacation. This Saturaday my dad and I will be headed off to Oshkosh, Wisconsin for the biggest airshow in the world. We will take the nine hour trip in my dads home built RV-6:

There will be four others guys and their planes also making the trip with us. It should be an exciting week of planes, taking lots of pictures, and of course soft serve ice-cream.
The weather reports are apparently showing it being in the upper 70's so it's definitely a nice change of pace from the last time I was there; upper 90's and 90 percent humidity.
I'll be sure to post some cool pictures when I get back.
Hopefully you guys won't miss me too much while I'm gone.

That sounds really cool, Stu! Have a great trip!

Don't forget to get some fried cheeze curds and some Sprecher's root-beer while you're up here - you won't regret it. Culvers has the best Turtle Sundays (Ab. will vouch for those), but their cheese curds should be avoided.
Also, if you've seen "Love Actually", Wisconsin chicks are amazingly hot. If you've actually been to Wisconsin, the reality is a little different.
I'd swing down to meet you (and probably get some kind of wierd evil eye for doing so if your dad's a good dad), but I'm doing what everyone else in Wisconsin does for vacation on that week. I'm going North.

Have fun STU! Sounds like a blast. Be safe and I would stay away from the girls in WI. Dated one once, crazy, crazy! My 2 cents! HAve fun

Checking In!
I am currently at the internet station at the best buy trailer here in Oshkosh. There are so many freakin' planes here it is amazing. Don't really have much time so I'll be sure to debrief everyone on my trip when I get back. Make sure you guys kick some major ass in the match tomorrow. :uzi:
I am having a great time and definitely miss killing everyone in DC.
Should be back around Saturday or Sunday, until then....adios!!
p.s. I don't have internet connection at the prison cells, er.. I mean dorms we are staying at. So I won't be able to reply to anything until I get back. :D

I just got the pics back from my trip so I figured I'd post some of them for your guys' entertainment. And...to finally reveal the identity of Disco Stu.
The three other guys that went formed up for me to take this picture.

We stayed in Billings, Montana one night. When we left we flew over the little big horn and Custers last stand.

That is really cool Disco!!! When did you Dad start to fly?
Are you learning to fly?
-
Some very cool pics Stu, looks like you had a great time.
-
Awesome pics stu. Glad you had a good time.

Hey Stu!
I ran across this article in the newspaper the other day. It's about how the Pacific Northwest is becoming a world leader in aircraft museums.
If you ever make it up to this part of the world, you should check some of 'em out. They're pretty cool.
BTW, my dream airplane is a carbon fiber (pressurized) Lancair IV-P.

That looks like a great trip, Stu! Wicked pics--I WILL own one of those '05 Mustangs some day. I love the old-but-new look.
-
Awesome pics Stu. I have a bit of a facination with WWII planes, so the ones of the Spitfire and the Mustangs were very neat. Have you ever seen an actual Lancaster bomber fly? I have! There are only two of them in the world, on in England, and the other in Ontario (Hamilton specifically). Looks like one heck of a time there!
BTW...I now know what you look like...far less intimidating than I imagined. I figured with the number of times and ways you've beaten my ass that perhaps you must me like 8ft tall with a cranium the size of a beach ball...LMAO!!!!

I am also a WWII fanatic. Nice pics on those. Once saw a HE-111 flying at an Albany Air Show.
