They're say 1 - 2ft just south of me at home here... and down at school they have about 3 inches of ice, topped with snow.. topped with more ice. gotta love winter weather..
I've got about 8 inches already, and according to Weather Channel's weather.com, I'm under the same forecast as Hy. The university is already closed for tomorrow--I've officially got a three day weekend. I'm starting to like snow more and more. :D
Looks like we're due for 2 ft at least. Love it (until I have to go out and shovel it of course.)
Squidly,
I've been lucky so far... our house is surrounded by sidewalk along the front and the entire side which runs over 100 feet long. Our garage is out back and faces an alley which gets done by the city. We have a neighbor who likes using his snow blower and every snow we've had so far he has come down the sidewalk to our corner and all the way up to the alley so all the shoveling we've had to do is basically our steps to the front sidewalk (a few feet) and the sidewalk that leads from our back porch to the garage. I'm thinking about having my wife bake him a pie or some cookies!! ROFLMAO
Anyone up for some gaming to beat the cabin fever?
I am, but I'm locked in my latest "find" right now...an online game of FreeCiv. (Think online Civilization II--it's included with Red Hat, and the latest distro for all platforms, including Windows, is available from www.freeciv.org.)
I'd like to do some Counterstrike tonite maybe... meet on Gunny's server and go over the maps.

I'm stuck in Burlington, Mass. - just outside of Boston. I'm here for the week taking an education course (BEA WebLogic System Administration) so it's no big deal. They just called a snow emergency here. Everyone is supposed to stay off the streets. I have CS loaded on my laptop but I forgot to pack my mouse (argh!).
Hey Albany guys! How much snow are we supposed to get back home?
I'm up to about 5 inches far where I am. And it's still coming down at a good clip. I guess it's supposed to snow for a while still. And I got a class this week myself. I get to enjoy a nice drive into the heart of Troy. Oh Joy!!
