New AK T2 Server Setup
I did a couple of things tonight to the T2 server. First, I changed out the hard drive. Sorry, Palooka, but work as I might to try to get around the problems with the old drive, it just seemed to be causing problems. Nice thing is that we get an ATA/66 drive instead of an ATA/33 one. Plus, it's a 60G drive, so there's tons more space to work with (not that we even SORT of need that much space...). Second, I upgraded the server to Red Hat 7.1, which is leaps and bounds better than 7.0. It seems I timed this upgrade well because kernel 2.4.5 just happened to be released today, so I updated to that version.
Lastly, I have no idea how well this will work, but I thought it might be fun to try. I've completed most of the requisite work to make our T2 server host a couple of different "servers" simultaneously. Currently, you'll find a CTF Server, a Siege Server, and a [password-protected] Practice Server. Currently, there isn't much in the way of daemon monitoring or automated kickstarting of the services, so let's all just hope that it works well for the next day or so whilst I sort that out. I'd like you guys to give me any kind of feedback that you might have about this kind of arrangement. If you notice the performance sucks, let me know and I'll discontinue the Siege server. If you like the performance and want to request that another game type be added / substituted for Siege, let me know. Once I begin to get all this stabilized, I'm going to be doing some big-time pimping of the AK server so the traffic starts to increase... Anyway, hope to see you Tribin' on [one of] the AK Servers sometime in the not-so-distant future.

Sorry, must've copied over the wrong ServerPrefs.cs file or something. Anyway, I'm happy to report that I managed to get everything up and running properly... Not only so all the servers start as soon as the server comes up, but they will restart IMMEDIATELY when a crash is detected (not ever 5 minutes like it once did). I'm thinking the server would benefit from some additional RAM, so I'll probably be looking into an upgrade in the not-too-distant future.
