    Squidly,
Were you in Malaysia on business?
What was it like over there?

Yeah, I was there to do some training at our Malaysian facility. I lived there for awhile in the early '80s.

I love that part of the world. The people are friendly, things are cheap, and everything is just a little odd. Different. Your senses seem like they're turned up a notch. Smells are stronger, colors more vivid. It just seems that way anyway because of the foreign strangeness of it all. Layered over it all is the oppressive jungle heat and humidity.

I'd go back in an instant if I could.

    WOW!!!
That's amazing... I was fortunate enough to visit a lot of countries, but never to live in one for a period of timeā€¦ Does it take long to get used to the language and the customs?

They all pretty much speak English there in the big towns. It's a required for graduation, and education is mandatory (or parents get fined.) Fortunately for them, it's also free.
