OK,
My quest to leave the island is broken. It took me about 3 days of dorking with customer service to even get the gal where I could move her I don't want to have to go through that again.
Someone said I could just be smuggled off the island, does anyone know how to do that?
Please don't make me deal with the incompetent customer service and that awful interface again.

You do miss out on some decent loot by not doing the quest, though at 25 the only thing my priest is still using is a mace. I was able to solo it at 19--if you keep your distance, you can tackle his bodyguards two at a time (Repulse is your friend). He didn't call any additional help when I fought him.
Of course, as Rocks says, we can help you find the smuggler, too.
Well I couldn't figure it out at 19
And the quest is broken. I can't get it to work at all. I go to tortage night time and no one shows up etc.....
We'll figure it out tonight.
