So, its been over a year since I upgraded any pc parts, so I was looking around to see what it would take to update my mobo. I have a M2N-SLI Deluxe which is a AM2 slotted board. I notice ASUS latest Bios update takes the board to AM2+ allowing quad cores processors. No brainer of an upgrade for me! So, just installed an 9850 BE (2.5ghz) processor and I am very happy not to replace the motherboard at this point in the game. Memory wont scale to 1600, but 800 ddr is fine for now.

Just an FYI, Also place a GTX 260 overboard too.. I am all ready for Falling gaming.. COD4 anyone?

I'm pretty sure my new mobo is in that same family. Good to know that I can go up to a quad on the cheap in a year or two when the price drops. My next upgrade is 2 more gigs of RAM to go up to 4, then a second graphics card to go SLI.

Whenever you want to take a "farming break" to play some COD 4, just let me know!
