Monitor

My monitor wont wake out of sleep mode. I switched monitors hoping that it was just the one monitor but it worked so it looks like I have another problem. I'm not computer savy so I have no idea what the problem is. Basically I'm asking for help. So if you guys know what it could help me out please.

Have you tried plugging the monitor into a different port on the computer? Maybe your port is bad or your video card?

That is the extent of my expertise. I will now leave it up to the experts.

Yeah I switch monitors with darky and the monitor I had worked on her computer and the one I took for her did nothing for mine. So I'm sure its not the monitor. I'm just not sure what it could be now.

If you have 2 monitors that wont work on your pc then my guess is your video card you can try reseating your video card or swap it out with a spare if you have one laying around.

Could be failing to POST too--does the hard drive light flicker while the drive grinds away? If it does, then it's posting correctly. If you get beep codes off the motherboard and no hard drive activity, then it could be motherboard, processor, or RAM.

There are no abnormal sounds the computer seems to running as it normally does. I cant even get it to reboot in safe mode. =/. I'm thinking its my video card now.
