I see it here in Memphis on a daily basis. They litterally bus these folks to the polls on election day. They can't drive, they don't work, They don't pay taxes, yet on election day their bussed in to vote for "their" candidate. Its just bullshit IMO.

I think voting for or not voting for a candidate based on race is ridiculous, but it's obvious that even today, things like that will happen.

On the flip side to the video (which I agree is absurd), there are a large number of white southern Democrats who absolutely will not vote for Obama because he is black. Racism in any form is a sign of ignorance, imo.

I can somewhat see why they do it. If I paid NO taxes, yet receive a refund every year, I'm all about getting more for nothing.

I'm new to the south and I tend to think of myself as "non-racist". Until I moved to Baton Rouge, I'd seen maybe 30 African Americans. To contrast this, the minority flavor in Montana are Native Americans. One of my dearest friends is Chippewa-Cree. Alas, same thing, but up north, we give them land to live on as well. Now, I understand they were here first, yadda yadda yadda....but tell that to an Irishman looking across the border to Northern Ireland where the Orangemen rule. Socialist crutches and the attempt to coddle minorities is crippling our nation of "can do, go getters".

An acquaintance of mine emailed me this yesterday:

"I just got done with a closing and another appointment with a 57 year old lady that works for wells fargo in the reverse mortgage loan division. She is a very nice person that takes great pride in doing reverse mortgages and so she typically will visit a senior's house when explaining the loan program. I thought I would share two stories she shared with me.

1). She had an African American client cancel a loan app with her--when asked why-she responded that when Barack gets elected he will forgive all the black people's debt anyway so she would never have to repay anything anyway

2). This lady drives a mercedes and was getting into her car in norfolk and three african american men yelled at her and said quote "hey white bitch, once Barack gets elected and spreads the wealth around, you won't be driving that mercedes-we will"

Now I am sure that personally Barack Obama would be the first to condemn this kind of activity but whether he intends it or not-- this is what is coming to the forefront--- ugly ugly ugly

I agree. I don't consider myself racist.... I despise them all equally, no matter the color.

I live in one of most race drivin cities in America and this kinda shit is shoved down our throats on a daily basis. Something similar happened to Memphis in 1991 when the first african american was voted into the mayors office. Dispite a clear lack of experience he was voted into office mearly on the color of his skin. This guy has destroyed this city and continues to do so on a daily basis. Google him sometime, its appauling.

After years of defending Bush, a while ago I came to the realization that – on the whole - he really wasn’t a very good president. I shall be glad to see him retire. I see more clearly now the motivation and reason why so many felt some small comfort in being able to say that at least they did not vote for him.

I will instinctively vote against any politician who is promising to GIVE money away. There Ain't No Such Thing As A Free Lunch -- we will pay for it eventually.

Personally, I think the vote should be restricted to those NOT in government housing or on the outright welfare dole. The thought of welfare parasites in control of the nation's coffers is a terrifying one.
