iPhone/iTouch and AK forums

Does anyone else have connection issues to this website from an iPhone or iTouch? Using the Edge network on my iPhone, I frequently encounter an error when trying to connect here: "Cannot Open Page Safari could not open the page because the server stopped responding." Beaker has the same problem with her iTouch when she connects over a LAN - so I don't think it's network related.

When I try to connect from a PC - such as right now in fact - it works just fine. Is it a Safari or Apple hardware issue?

I know Palooka and Squidly have iPhones/iTouch - do you guys ever encounter this?

I've never had a problem. Not sure what could be causing the issue for you.

Thanks Palooka - I suppose the problem is closer to my end then.

For my iPhone, I'm using AT&T's Edge network to connect - which isn't so good. Could it be that there is a website server timeout or security setting that is set to be less forgiving of crappy connections? Most other commercial websites seem to connect OK - albeit slow.

Still can't get my iPhone to open the AK website while on the EDGE network. It's wierd, the forums work fine when I'm on WiFi, or using my office PC, but refuse to even exist when I try connecting from my iPhone.

All other websites work fine, albeit slow, when connecting from the iPhone. I think the problem is some kind of incompatability with the EDGE network speed and this sites server - but that's just a guess.

You iPhone users out there, if you turn off your wifi and 3G, can you still surf the AK forums over a iPhone 3G model phone?

I'm not an iPhone user, but I'm on the Edge network and I never have problems with the AK forums.

I have never had a problem on Edge, Wifi, or now on my new iPhone, 3G.

Same here ... I have a Blackberry and not an iphone but I'm on the edge network as well. No problems with the forums.
