American Idol

I know this is a longshot, but does anyone watch American Idol?

I'm pretty hooked on the show, and am curious if anyone else has a favorite contestant this year or picks for the winner.

I'm going with Adam Lambert. It would totally rock if the next American Idol was an 80's glam rocker.

Iris watches and thus occasional I watch. I must say that they all suck this time around. I still like last years 'kid living in a car'... the only one with any talent and they axed him.

This is the first year I havnt been forced to watch it, so i have no clue who is who... as a matter of fact the only thing I do know is there is a blind guy, there was a hot chick in a bikini at the very beginning doing tryouts, and there is a new judge who seemed a bit bitchy.

I watch it sometimes with my wife (who watches it all the time.) Adam L is definitely talented, and probably deserves to win. The rest of them have had their moments, but they've also had some pretty bad weeks as well. Lambert is the only one that's been consistently good and unique.

I have watched every season, only reality tv I watch..... I think adam is a dink and really not that talented......and by far last season was the worst. This season is a little better but miss the days of bo and carrie.

This season has definitely slipped a little...my favorites of the past few years are Jordin, Melinda, and Chris Daughtry.

This year, my favorites are Adam, Alison, and Kris. I know Danny is talented, but he just seems so BLAND.

Adam may not have the most melodic voice, but I think he's by far the most 'relevant' and least likely to end up singing adult contemporary music.

My wife and kids enjoy watching the show, so when they watch it and I’m not doing anything I will watch it too and quietly detest the fact that a man is wearing finger nail polish….
My favorite is Danny…
And, yes the new lady judge seems to be a real you know what…

Okay, here's my take on things...and I hope I don't come off sounding snobby with my comments.

I agree that Adam is very relevant and seems like the obvious winner, even though he isn't my favorite. I did NOT like his version of the Johnny Cash song "Ring of Fire". The Indian flavor mixed in didn't sit well with me - just a person preference there.

Matt has actually been my favorite. He's this normal guy that can sing and play piano like nobody's business.

Alison is crazy AWESOME - unbelievably talented - but something tells me the finale will be two guys.

I had high hopes for Lil, but she's not picking the songs that would make her shine. Danny is also great.
