    Interesting Tank Info

    Killing Tanks 4 Noobs


    Tanks have a Burn timer. The timer is the length of time it takes for a tank to burn to death once ignited by a moltov or a gas can. The timers vary by mode of difficulty.

    Easy 30 seconds (Weapons will kill it faster)
    Normal 30 seconds (Weapons still might be faster)
    Advanced 35 seconds (Usually a good idea to light the tank and flee!)
    Expert 40 seconds (Almost always a good idea to light the tank and flee!)

    Burn damage and weapon damage are calculated SEPERATLY !!! Which means that lighting the tank on fire and shooting him is a waste of ammo. Either burn him OR shoot him not both.

    Now the other thing I learned is that the Tank actually has an increase in run speed when he's on fire.

    This article is an interesting read and what I think a must for any of us that play. It sure did put me in my place and make me rethink what I'm doing when the ground starts pounding from a tank in route !

    Excellent.

    Still trying to figure out why they give the burn damage and gun damage different counters. Does not compute.

    Does burn damage "stack"? Or does that just waste good Molotovs? If it's the latter, soon we'll all have "man vs. tank".

    Edit: should have read the full article first.
    Extra flames are useless

    Tanks already on fire take no extra damage from standing in flames or being exposed to more molotovs or gas flames.

    This actually makes things a bit easier. Light the tank then just try to stay alive. Don't worry about shooting him. Concentrate on avoiding him and killing other critters.
