I'd agree with the weapon selection importance. The combat shotgun is awesome but you can really burn through the ammo. Suddenly the scoped rifle (not the hunting one) is my favorite. It forces me to conserve ammo due to low rate of fire.

"Nade launcher during finales rocks though.

My neighbor and I were discussing melee weapons. The Katana is our favorite. Still trying to figure out the difference (speed/damage). Doe the axe seem slower?

I'll probably be around again, probably around 8PM or so.

I love the Katana.. and going melee. Like you, the scoped rifle is my favorite as well. 1 click, 1 bullet. I know last night I was probably overdoing the melee, but I was really trying to preserve my ammo as much as possible.

I do like how they influence you in making compromises when you carry items. Want a melee? Lose the pistol. Want to carry defib? You lose your health pack. Etc.

It's nothing revolutionary, but I really like all the changes they have made in the game play. The environmental effects are also very well done. I love the smoke in the burning building.

The specials are quite special this time around. The spitter has amazing range when compared to the old Boomer. By the time you hear him you may already be standing in vomit; and that shit hurts. Only a few seconds to lose a massive amount of health.

Jockey is nice as it splits the team up.

Don't care for the charger... a bit too powerful.

It was nice seeing that all melee do the same amount of damage.

50 cal fixed machine gun overheat is a pain in the ass. Takes forever to cool down.

Boomer Vile + Moly = WIN.

Tanks may not burnout anymore either. Still confirming.
But you can vile a tank.

More challenging with the spitter for sure. You can't always count on that one good defensive position for fighting a battle as the spitter can quickly turn that into a pain zone!

    Love the jockey.

LOL - The jockey reminds me of a giant HL2 head crab.

We learned last night while up on top of the scaffolding that the spitter can ruin your day.

Billy bought this for me a few nights ago, and I've played a tiny bit of single player.

    Any L4D2 nights planned?

I've been on quite a bit lately. I've been going back and forth between TF2 with Gunny and playing L4D2.

If you see me on STEAM, just send a chat message and we'll get a game going.

I picked it up yesterday and will be on a lot too. Had a great game with Stitch last night--would you believe he actually had the fewest friendly-fire incidents? I'll be on tonight and frequently for the next few weeks.
