Global warming hoax revealed?

Anyone with a modicum of intelligence should have realized by now that anthropogenic global warming is much ado about nothing, but most skeptics still believe that global warming is happening--just without man's help. What if the whole damned thing is an elaborate hoax perpetrated by the "scientific" community, nutty enviros, the Goracle, and Dimocrats?

If it's not in the NY Slimes or the Washington Compost, it's not credible, eh? Truth-seekers have to look to non-traditional sources for reliable information these days. If the '08 presidential election taught you anything, it should have taught you that the formerly mainstream media has ditched objective journalism in favor of political advocacy--manipulating rather than informing public opinion. I find right-wing blogs like Hotair, the American Thinker, The Corner (National Review), Powerline Blog, Michelle Malkin, et al. every bit as credible and trustworthy as most dinosaur media sources. Who will go after corruption in this government if not them? That used to be the responsibility of the press, but the press is now simply an arm of the Democratic Party.

If the sole source is a right-wing blog, it's difficult to quote to the warming crowd without them dismissing it out of hand. I'd do the same thing if some leftist quoted Daily Kos.

I actually find Power Line to be a very informative site. Sure, it's a "right wing" site, but their information is almost always factual and on the mark.

Squid - when I first read Palooka's link, the first thing I did was a "news" search on Google - then I checked snopes just to see if anything was there or not. Once I read some more on, this will definitely be a Mike Kohary bait on Facebook.

As to sources, I agree that it's important. Sadly, I pretty much don't trust any of them. How cynical is that? Kind of depressing really.


The greatest disappointment to me is the scientific community. Scientists, by training and by nature, question everything. Even (especially) the established scientific dogma. The way scientists who question global warming are so utterly dismissed has always left a bad impression on me. The rapid (and rabid) attacks on those who have the gall to question it reminds me of Shakespeare: "The lady doth protest too much, methinks".

A scientist is supposed to explain it to those who question, not dismiss. And if you can't do a good job explaining it, well then....

If the users of this forum were heavily liberal, links to conservative blogs would be met with hostility, contempt, disbelief, sardonic laughter, righteous indignation, hate speech, death threats, etc. I posted in consideration of the intended audience: AK, which is mostly conservative. If we all give up gaming one day, we should form a PAC or something.
