Is this game kind of choppy for anyone else?

I like the game but pretty much have to be sniper all the time as it's too choppy for me in CQB. My machine is a little older but its got an e6750 duo core, 4 gb of ram, a raptor sata drive and a x1950pro 512 mb video card.

I havent had one sec of chop, but I crash to desktop every 30min or so. Beta I kinda expect that......

No crashes at all but still kind of choppy, being forced to be sniper is ok though I got the 12x scope today and I don't think they want you going any further as it takes over 1 million recon points to get the "red dot" I can't see the latency on the server browser but I doubt that's my problem going to look around and see if there is a windows 7 issue or just my pc is not quite enough horsepower although it meets or exceeds the suggested, with the quad core being the only factor.

unfortunately the lag issues have just about ended any interest in this game for me. I have tried it on windows 7 and xp and about to write this one off. Kind of sucks as I was really enjoying sniping but don't want to play a game like this and not be able to play more than 1 class. Haven't given up just yet but getting close.

I have been playing everyday just havent been getting on vent cause nobody was playing....ill hop on vent next time I play.

and my crash 2 desktop was my modem, had to get a new one!

I've been playing this nightly, And I've had a few crashes, some sound issues, and there's some laggy servers our there, but otherwise this is a fun game.

Oddly enough I found a thread about the same issues I was having and thought the resolution was weird but it worked. I had to rename the bfbc2game.exe to bf2.exe and it has resolved all my issues. Some lag still but not nearly as bad. I play this every night the only other person to post their in game name is Stitch so only one added to my friends list.

Hy try the renaming thing as people in that same thread said it fixed control issues for them too.

Had no effect. I even loaded the latest Logitech drivers for my mouse and nothing... still doesn't work.

Mouse works on all screens up to the point where I enter battle - then it just points straight down and shakes. I can move around with the keyboard keys, but I can't look anywhere.

Sorry.. very sorry when basic mouse movements can't be done properly.
