The default is Q. It's really helpful for letting your team know about enemies that you might be able to see, but just can't kill.
Also, if you spot an enemy with Q and your team kills them, you get points for the spot assist!

Here's my tip of the day: Don't neglect your knife. It's always a one-shot, and in CQB, it's often better than a gun. When you run into an enemy in close quarters, sprint at him and slash away. Last night, I snuck up on a squad of three and stabbed them all. It was curiously satisfying.

Anyone looking to get 1000 yard plus headshots, it's fairly easy on Gulf of Oman. from C go to the second floor of the building closest to the flag and snipe the guys on the deck of the aircraft carrier from the balcony got 6 1000+ yard headshots the other day.

I assume that's rifle-dependent? I'm REALLY coming to hate the SKS, and the QBU-whatever sniper rifle doesn't have the greatest range either.
I have gotten several 1200+ yard headshots on Gulf of Oman with the SV98. The longest was 1275 or so (from the carrier to the top of the furthest crane).
