Ya, I'm digging it. When you shoot someone... they die. Not having to pump 50 rounds into a guy with the M60 to take him down is fun.

No 'spotting' means you have to hunt your opponents and use voice chat to find targets.

Some red-sights work, others don't.

No ammo counter... you have to mind your loads.

Friendly-Fire? Well, so far I found that the folks playing hardcore are a bit wiser about their spray.

Word is... some of the hardcore servers are sniper farms because of the one-shot kill issue. Oh well.

I know that not everyone likes it but I'd like to run our server this way every now and then.

I'm all for diversity and variety. I just want to make sure the other maps are rotated also.

Hardcore to me is kind of like rubbing sand in your eyes and rinsing it out with vinegar.

My biggest complaint is going back to regular after a hardcore match. You can't kill anyone. Everything feels so:

What aspect of hard mode makes people easier to kill? No armor? Uber bullets?

Maybe I'm doing it all wrong, but hard mode made me feel like a virgin in a porno. I'm all for variety on the server, but I think I'll be sitting out the hard-mode nights.

Unfortunately in hard-modes I am reduced to purely sniping because the scope has its own cross hairs. I cant hit the broad side of a barn with any weapon in that game without them.

I like hardcore mode because you can shoot a guy once or twice and kill him. I dislike hardcore mode because someone can shoot me once or twice and kill me.

I also really hate the loss of the mini-map in hardcore mode. Of all the changes, that one is the most annoying.

Weapon damage increase. This solves what is now called "Getting Abb'd". In which a person runs at you from 50 yards while you pump over 200 rounds of .50 ammunition into him and he still gets the knife kill.

Also, we now use, "Kidding You". This refers to taking 6 shotgun rounds to the face.

And finally we have, "I got 'Swae'd'". This event occurs when you are rez'ing a team mate and Swae shoots the hell out of you despite your red-cross markings, lack of gun, and your humanitarian cause.

Pretty sure in HC mode you have 50 health, not 100 and you dont heal (by yourself).

I get frustrated now not playing HC it doesnt feel real. My best games have been in HC and the smacktard problems I havent encounted yet. Last night I shot ppl 4 and 5 times and they didnt drop as im being constintly killed attacking. It was not fun! Use the sites on the gun even if its not a red dot they still work and work good. It took me about 30 games to start to like it give it chance!

Lack of crosshairs makes it slightly more difficult to TK my team. And even harder to share my love with Kidd.

Lack of cross-hairs really sucks with fixed MG. Hard to kill at range.

Don't laugh. In BF:1942 I used a transparency overlay to auto target the shore batteries onto the battleship on the Omaha Beach Map.
