If you were a zombie and I had to kill you, I'd feel sad.

OK so Clay and I have 2 months to decide on phones. I am leaning toward an entry level smart phone. I thought I'd try the Palm Pixi. Because it's cute and small (I'll admit it!)

It doesn't have wi-fi but when I travel I almost always have my netbook. And when I go between home and work I have computers in both places.

How often do you use your wi-fi on your phone if you have a computer with you?

Does anyone have any experience with the new Palm OS? I don't really foresee using this as a smartphone very much maybe some Navigation, but not really for apps or gaming or music. (I have an itouch for music that I haven't turned on in months.) So an app store is not a factor in what I do.

Palm wouldn't be my first choice.

Agree. Still too many questions about Palm, HP and WebOS future (although the reviews of the Palm Pre were largely glowing).

Actually, after looking over Beaker's phone, I find the palm interface to be quite excellent. For the target market that wants a good phone first and foremost, but with smartphone functionality with a real screen and keyboard, I'd say palm nails it - better even than iPhone.

The marketplace has already decided on this one.
