The info on this site may be a couple years old, but it is still pretty accurate for diagnosing video issues. My nVidia 8600GT died and it looked exactly like some of the graphics examples they show for failed GPU and onboard video memory. Hope this helps.

I know that ATI has a robust driver cleaner utility to get rid of all their drivers to help you with a clean install. While NVDIA may have the same tool, this may be more hardware related.

The Future
Thanks for all the help guys! I went through this past weekend and tried to clean all of the Nvidia driver crap off my computer. Even with removing and installing new drivers I wasn't able to get a good startup.
Long story short, I got my new video card in the mail today and am back at 100%. Its nice to have my computer back
