I've been swayed by the opinions here and a couple of reviews I've read, and I'll be picking this up, but probably not till later this month when I get back from my vacation.

In the single player game, the variety and imagination of the scenarios makes it fun. Fighting off zombies, robbing trains, dodging lava surges...one person stealth infiltrations... prison breaks. woo hoo.
    The sun has fallen down
And the billboards are all leering
And the flags are all dead at the top of their poles.

I'm glad I bought it. The single-player campaign is excellent thus far.
