Looks like the PC version of Black Ops is a fail due to horrible lag and memory leak spikes. the kiddle console version has been just fine for me :-)

That happens when a game is designed on the lowest common denominator and then tried to be ported to a real system.

It's like taking a coloring book and trying to convert it to a high resolution photograph.

Just finished single player:

One of the better single player FPS ever.
Good story line, good flow
Lag during the end; lots of FX cause lag
Lag during load window too
Lag if you drop out and back into the game; take about 10 seconds to stabilize.


It was fun. About 6-8 hours of game play.
