    Hint,

Build a pyramid for a roof, place a "Lava Spring" (Use a bucket to gather lava) on the top of the pyramid and your house will be bathed in an impenetrable shell of lava that also produces light.

    Also

wana really expand the game, look into this

    http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Redstone_circuits

I have seem people build 16bit logic systems (IN THE GAME) with this stuff

if anyone needs any tips, let me know.

also looking at "Flood gate" mods that will let you use redwire to control water flow for irrigation systems and monster traps.

Here is the plot in a nutshell

"You appear on a land with nothing but your hands, at night the undead will come out and eat you........ GO!"

if you survive it switches over to creative expression mixed with a little survivor.

Make sure to store your valuables. Don't just run around with them because if you run into monsters, you could lose it all. This happened to me deep underground when I broke into a massive cave while mining. I got all my stuff back, but died again. This happened twice, then all the stuff disappeared. The cave was crawling with monsters, and I play on the hard difficulty level, so fighting them is very dangerous.

As long as you don't so "secret" connecting basements with trap doors in the showers with anyone.....lol, or you will have to decide who is going to play the part of Sergé from the video.

I need another addicting computer game like I need a hole in the head, but I keep hearing how fun it is. I might try it out...

Edit for current pricing: 14.95 EUR / $20.51 USD

At first, it doesn't seem that interesting.... until you get attacked and need to find a way to fight back... OR - if you have admin controls and want to build some crazy lego style building/trap/mine/etc.. Of course, you don't have to have admin to do that, you just have to locate the resources needed, do a lot of crafting, and piece it all together.

    Ya, I'm getting pretty hooked.......

Is this a game you can play off and on? I need something I can pick up and put down easily.

Ok so we all know the put down is a bit difficult but could it technically be something you could put down and come back to?

It's definitely a game you can pick up and put down easily. Going in, set your mindset to "oldschool" and give it a half hour or so. It grows on you once you begin to grasp the scope.

I'd say resist the op-tools if possible, at least until you have started crafting stuff with diamonds on your own. A good part of the charm is working to get the resources to build your dream recipes.

Ya, it should be. As Azmo said, it's basically lego's meets surviver. And if you just want to play with the lego's side, we can add you to the ops list which makes survival a whole lot easier.

Agreed! Though I've built a lot of stuff using ops mode, I'm certainly planning to strip ops from myself for a more fun exploring / self sufficient experience.

I tried giving myself diamond armor/weapons just to see what a difference it made... and the answer was - A LOT.

I'm going to discard that stuff and start from scratch. One item that has made a lot of difference for me is the bow (and arrows.) The ability to pick off mobs at a distance from my castle walls has increased my joy eleven-fold.
