This was probably one of the more exciting years for holiday gifts and such for myself in a very long time. And it's not even really a matter of the loot I gathered in terms of gifts. Well sort of in a way. My wife and kids got me a copy of "The Giving Tree" which was a good that was one of the most memorable from my childhood. With the emotions I felt opening that book up it was pretty much like a 'Red Ryder BB Gun' moment for me. It was an amazing gift.
I also scored a copy of Star Wars The Old Republic Atlas, Saints Row The 3rd PS3, Uncharted 3 PS3 and Assassins Creed Revelations PS3. A bottle of Redbreast whiskey, and a Astro MixAmp gaming sound modulator. Overall it was just an amazing Christmas for me. I am so very thankful for my family and friends.

I went nill on the 'tech' this year. (Although I gave the wife a new NOOK Tablet) I got mucho clothes that I requested from Santa, but I did get a few gun related items for the shooting range:

    Midway USA Competition Range Bag

    Howard Leight shooter's electronic earmuffs

A set of Peltor shooting glasses with 4 changeable nose pieces and 4 lens

And technically my new Ruger SR9c Pistol I'm getting in about a week

I got a new GPS for my car (my old one was formerly my handheld PDA, and it was in rough shape...and it didn't have live traffic, either!), a portable stove for tailgating and other such occasions, and a new small skillet for my kitchen. The best part, as always, was the prime rib dinner that my brother (a professional chef) cooked with my mom as his sous chef!

I got RockSmith for PS3. So far I'm absolutely loving it and actually feel like my guitar skills are progressing. Of course, that's pretty easy since I had absolutely zero before I started.

I bought myself a new camp stove:

Also bought a nice leather recliner.

My daughter made me a nice knitted hat with a beard attachment as well.

Bribo - you forgot to mention the snuggies.

I received a tealight camp lantern (with spare candles), EMS, iTunes, Best Buy, and Visa gift cards. A bottle of Crown Royal (as is tradition), a sixpack of assorted craft beers, socks, a "BOSU" balance trainer, a replacement water filter cartridge for my gravity filter. The Steve Jobs autobiography, A couple of biology books targeted at runners and cyclists. A subscription to a food magazine, and a cycling magazine.

Also, a Lyme plushie to commemorate my on-board friends: http://www.microbeplushies.info/stuffed-lyme-disease-2/
