**I just have nothing cool enough to put here**
Major addition on the house not much time for anything else with the kids back into sports and the addition ongoing. Hopefully something cool coming soon to pull folks back into gaming.

If you find yourself in a losing battle....your tactics suck!
That something is here. It's called Tribes: Ascend! Too bad more AKers aren't giving it a shot. Tribes and Tribes 2 helped build this organization.
As for me, I'm just busy working and being a dad. My play time isn't what it used to be, which is probably the case for most other people here, too.
AK isn't dead; it just seems to be in suspended animation.
My gaming seems to be limited to my phone and my iPad lately. Just cant seem to get into any PC games. It's much easier to be able to play while sitting in front of the couch from my easy chair.

If you were a zombie and I had to kill you, I'd feel sad.
I'm back playing World of Warcraft before the expansion ... if you want a Scroll of Resurrection to lift one of your toons to level 80 and 7 days of free play time, send me a PM with your e-mail.

I've continued with iRacing as my primary gaming outlet. I race on Tuesday and Thursday nights, and get laps in whenever else I'm mentally capable during the week.
But - I've also been on a mini-game type of bender over the past few months. My buddy and I have been getting together on most Monday nights to play something or other.
Recent favorites have been:
Carcassone - simply a java version based on the board. Great fun, easy to learn, and a worthy option for anyone looking to develop a family board gaming night. Obviously we use the Java version for internet play, but use the board version anytime we're together and looking for something to do.
Settlers of Catan - another java version of a great board game.
And starting just last week, I've been drawn into Mount and Blade Warband (available on Steam). The game itself isn't exactly new nor does it have spectacular graphics. But I've found it really fun. It's has a non-target based combat system which requires you to use the mouse to create attack actions. It has a rich single player campaign were you can build an army, siege castles, court maidens, create an enterprise and develop markets, chase bandits, quest, and even become a king if you stick with it. Then there's the multiplayer which has a couple of variants including arena battles and castle sieges (50 on 50). I've only tried the arena for MP, but it was a blast.
I think I'm done with the MMORPG genre. Between Skyrim and games like Mount and Blade, I've found that I can scratch the RPG itch without getting sucked into the black hole associated with MMO.
If anyone is interested in joining us for a Monday evening gaming night, by all means just shout. I'd be more then happy to explain the board games if you'd like or if you're already familiar with them and want some fresh opponents.
PS - I was completely hooked on various games on the phone UNTIL I downloaded the Kindle software and Game of Thrones.. Now I read all the freakin time and rarely play games. Amazing how much I read with the convenience of having my book on me at all times. I was never much of a reader prior to that, except when taking the train into the city for work which ended a few years back.

I'm playing Tribes, intermittently, and BF3, even more intermittently. This time of year, I'm not around much on weekends, and I'm usually gone by 10:00 or so on weeknights--I just can't stay up late playing the way I used to. I'm definitely getting the first BF3 expansion pack, and hopefully that will carry interest forward for the next 2 later in the year.
Playing Tribes Ascend with another group...the "Void Engineers". Same crew I was with 10 years or so ago after the AK Tribes team broke up. We are competing on the "Gameshrine" ladder "pre-tourney". When TWL's 10 man ladder starts up, we'll likely go do that.
We're division 2. Record is 7-5 (map wins/losses)

Example of one of our matches. Stick with it past the roll-in commercial - it
gets pretty good after the first 2 caps...

I remember VOID. I played with them a bit in Tribes 2 as well. Good times, that video really brings me back.
I try to play a game or two of Tribes Ascend a night. It's a lot of fun, but all I really do is turret farm and repair things. I got on vent a couple times, but haven't seen anybody in the tribes channel yet.

It's a simulation dammit!
I was playing BF3 quite a bit and enjoying it, but I stopped seeing Gunny and Beast on whenever I checked so I haven't played in probably over 6 weeks now.
I loaded and installed the new Tribes, it just didn't do much for me the few times I played it. It was OK, and I'm sure it would be a bit more fun if/when you can play on the same server with your friends and get on the same team.
Like Ozz, I'm 99% all about iRacing with my spare online time. I'm also running Tue & Thursdays (With Ozz in John Henry's Red Sox Racing League) as of now with sporadic practice session in between. Wednesdays are usually off limits from September through May because I'm teaching at the college that night. In addition to that, I like going to the Guild to throw lead down range whenever I can get a chance to do so.
Throw in home maintenance, my other interests (Photography, Motorsports, Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs, etc), the occasional photo restoration / digital re-touching corporate job, Ghost writing gigs, and time with the wife, I just haven't been spending as much time "gaming" as I use to.

Just casual steam games for me right now. I don't have the computer to handle anything graphics intensive. For now I am wrapping up work projects and trying to get a job in Dallas so that I can live with the husband again.
Maybe when Diablo III comes out I'll buy a new computer so that I can play cooperatively.
I am coaching youth 'senior' level soccer with my son's. Preparing for my upcoming Pop Warner football season at the Pee Wee level. Also getting ready for a few weeks away in early July down in the outer banks and Charlotte area of NC.
Been playing on the PC again for a few months, I still love my consoles, but there has been very little offered for quite some time. I've been playing Dungeon Defenders, Skyrim, RAGE and Super Monday Night Combat. Now Diablo III out, I will be investing all of my time into that until Guild Wars 2 hits in late June.
For the Northeast crew, I do think a get together is long overdue.
