Absolutely a disaster. $80, day 2 and I still haven't even been able to run the damn thing. I haven't even been able to run the tutorial, let alone find out if the game is any good or not. Worst DRM decision ever to tie EVERYTHING to online servers.

Yeah, I'm not going to be doing this after reading yours and other horror stories. I'm already pissed at EA for making me wait an extra week for the last Battlefield 3 expansion I prepaid well in advance for just because I choose to play on PC instead of PlayStation. Give me SimCity 4...or better yet, Tropico 4, currently on deep discount on Steam in a "middle finger to EA/Origin" sale.

Well, now that it is actually working, I'm enjoying this game quite a bit. Yeah, the cities are a bit smaller, but if you take hold of a region, you can actually build 3 distinct cities you can manage at the same time. I'm building one city as my primary, then another city I'm building as a tourist trap with casinos, etc. The third one is a mining town, selling the ore and coal off to help supply the other two cities.

I haven't had a chance to play multiplayer yet, but I'm looking forward to giving it a try.

What a disappointment. I have always loved the SC games ever since playing Sim Earth back in the day. (SC followed that up about a year later) This version brought many of the same things that I loved from the others and even had some decent new ideas. Sadly though, the damn thing is just too buggy to continue. I made a bunch of cities and it seems that as soon as you get them close to where you want, the damn bugs creep in and it's no longer possible to be fixed. I'm definitely going to return to the game, but not until I see a few patches to help the AI and bugs.
