Hi folks,

Just picked up a VisionTek GeForce3 (not the TI) at Best Buy on clearance for $229, marked down from $399. Not sure why they did that, but I like it. Just an FYI, for anyone who does not have one yet.

Would that be the VisionTek Xtasy? I was looking in another store last week and saw these and PNY's card. I didn't know what the Xtasy was until I read about them in a trusted publication. The Xtasy Ti 500 employs the latest chip from nVidea and is the fastest Geforce 3 the people at the publication have tested. Apparently it's the Ultra of the Geforce 3 line. They reported a price of $349. I saw a PNY Ti 500 for $374 but didn't see a Ti 500 in the VisionTek line. The store did have the Ti 200 for $199 which I assume is the standard Geforce 3. The article reported a fifteen percent performance increase for the VisionTek Xtasy Ti 500.

Hey Moon,

No, this is the standard GeForce3 - not the Ti 200 or 500. I think it is still faster than the Ti 200, but lacking some features of the Ti 500. It is boxed just as a VisionTek GeForce3, and has 64 mb of DDR memory.

Sounds like a good deal, think I'll just wait til I get a Hercules GF3 for christmas though.. new system should be mostly done by then.
