The more I think about it the less I want the Abit motherboard. There is an Asus A7M266 Mainboard that looks good. Supports 266mhz FSB and DDR Ram. I would probably be happy with any mainboard that gives me 266Mhz FSB and DDR Ram compatibility.

The CPU I want is an AMD Athalon 1.2 or 1.3 Ghz CPU as long as it supports 266Mhz FSB. I like that bus speed, mmmhmm.

The RAM should not be too hard to come by, DDR and (correct me if I am wrong) 133Mhz to support the 266 FSB? Whatever.

To top things off, it is tax time and I need to take care of that. I am sure I am going to have to pay a bit in taxes, I did last year. This may or may not interfere with my new system. If taxes don't hit me too hard I should be able to afford this stuff next paycheck otherwise it will have to wait till May. The rest of my equipment in my box is all good because in the last few months I have gotten a new hard drive (30GB IBM 7200RPM, etc...), Sound Card (Sounblaster Live, damn I love the sound from this puppy), Monitor (19inch ViewSonic flat screen), New keyboard and mouse. The only upgrade I am missing is the Motherboard, processor and RAM and I am set (almost like I was planning on upgrading). After I upgrade the guts of my system (heck the case is still good) I will be set for a while then when the Geoforce 3 cards are a reasonable price I'll replace my Voodoo 5 (~300 bucks 'cause I will never spend 500+ bucks on a video card unless I win the lottery or something).
