+Bribo = Br-eye-bow. NOT "Bree-boah". His real name is Brian, not Breean.

+Geezer = Hard "G", like in "Gun" or "Golly". Means an "old person". Many of us qualify
and therefore should be intimately acquainted with this term by now.

+Squidly = The letter "d" is NOT the letter "g". I know this is hard to fathom, but
I know neither Laverne or Shirley.

My sincerest apologies as I know I have made the "Bree-bo" mistake. I have just heard it both ways and wasn't sure.
I suppose the only other questionable name I have is Abaddon. Is it A - Bad'- on or
Ab' - a - don?

and with that.. I think I'll tell you guys what my Hot-headed name used to be.. the only person who has known up to this point is Wolff.. thanks for keeping my little secret man.

Back when I first got the internet I went straight to the I'76 community.. and found myself frequenting i76.com... man those were the days, at least after I changed my 'identity' so to speak... Back then I was only a freshman, on my way to becoming a sophmore.. and I didn't have control of my anger... anyway I got involved in one of the biggest flames ever back then... and after that everyone pretty much hated me.. Anyway... back then I actually played with Wolff at the end of the era of a big i'76 gang... can't remember the initials anymore... anyway.. back then I was SirDJ... also very picky about my name and capitalization... DJ are the first 2 initials in my name FYI... or Darren Jacob... anyway.. after the flaming incident I left the community.. Left for maybe a week or two.. then came back under my new name of SlAuGhTeR(used up until last summer.. pretty sure it changed while I was in aYg)... was kinda picky about the caps... but after a while.. I grew into Slaughter... more mature way of putting it.. So then I joined up with various gangs and worked my way up the ladder.. and I ended up in WT, they were a great group, back in their reign of prosper.. then I started playing Tribes.. after someone had mentioned it, either Beastly or Faxman... both were in DK at the time.. And then I was a regular on the AK Tribes Server... I miss those days... it was great... then I started playing Tribes with DK.. and even left WT in I'76 to join them.. it was great times.. Then I started friendships with people here.. and this is where I wanted to be.. so I just hung around... and in April, 01 I got adopted into the Knights.. and I've loved every minute of it...

And that is the history of me.. summarized.. prolly should've made my own thread for that..

Dale was a short guy, but thick, muscular... a wrestling type. Certainly, if you looked at Bribo, you'd figure that Dale would win that fight 99 times out of 100 (sorry Bribo...)

But then you'd be selling short Bribo's survival instincts. When the fight started, he managed to dodge out of the way and Dale punched the wall. So hard in fact, that he required surgery to repair the shattered appendage.

The confrontation was not unlike the classic David vs Goliath...

The "punchline" to this story came a few weeks later. Dale still in a cast and was shooting his mouth off again and bribo said "want me to break your other hand?"

Heh ... I didn't actually know how to pronounce my name myself. Guess that comes from taking it from a book and never learning the right way to say it. Here's some dictionary references. I had it mostly right. I have been saying it like "uh-bad-un."

I picked up my name from "The Many-Colored Land" and "The Pliocene Exile," books by Julian May. There was a character in them known as Abaddon. Anyway, it has been a computer handle of mine since the Commodore 64 days.
